One of the central aspects of the social system of patriarchy is that it teaches men to be insecure. Because patriarchy is at it’s core, a dominance-based hierarchy where everyone has to compete for rank and place in an imaginary pecking order, men in particular, can get sucked into this “game.” Yes….really.
